Hmong in Wisconsin
Hmong are a very interesting
people that live close to many people in America and that’s why I have decided
to research. The things that I research are very interesting thing like how they
got to America, why, and how future climate could affect their daily lives and
what the long term affects are.
Most of what the Hmong’s
cultural practices are rest period, clothing, and religion. Most of the Hmong
that came to the USA flew in from planes and they moved to America because they
were being targeted by other countries for helping the Americans in a war. The
most common states they came to were Hawaii, Oregon, Montana, Minnesota,
Wisconsin and California

The major climate changes
that are going to affect the Hmong is the flooding and drought and warmer
temperatures in the winter. The flooding and drought could affected the Hmong
majorly because lack of drinking water, it could flood them for days, and both
drought and flooding can kill many fish, underground and land animals. The
temperatures in the winter have been affecting the cold water fish species like
lake trout, brook trout and whitefish may disappear in the state because of both
higher water temperatures and increased competition from fish species that
thrive in warmer waters.

Researching the Hmong was
very fun and exciting and I learned a lot about them. I found that the most
interesting part of their history was how they got to America and why they came.
